Water Stewardship – At our mission’s core is a dedication to protect, conserve, restore and reconnect cold water fisheries. We clean up waterways, plan and complete riparian improvement projects and educate local conservationists and anglers about the importance of clean water. From our mountain headwaters to the pools of the Shenandoah and onto the shores of the Chesapeake Bay, we are privileged and proud to know our efforts have positive effects throughout Virginia. 

Our “home water” Beaver Creek in Ottobine Virginia is a living example and proof positive of the collaboration between private landowners and a grateful public.

Education – In the heart of a conservationists is an appreciation for nature and the knowledge of its important role in everyone’s lives. We seek to implant that appreciation in our local youth through the Trout In The Classroom program. Hundreds of children are exposed to the life cycle of trout and their environments. Tanks are placed in local schools affording the students a hands-on impactful experience that has far reaching benefits. It’s a meaningful lesson that they take from classroom to stream bank and beyond as they become our future leaders.

Outreach – Our efforts with the local programs to help share the joy of angling with veterans and aid other conservation groups keeps us relevant and makes us a valued part of our community. Angling is an immersive experience that exposes a veteran to natural wonders while also requiring focus and curiosity. This venture has improved the lives of many veterans from the stream to the fly tying table. And no one can deny the importance of clean water and the environment that sustains it.
