Oct 14th Meeting: Seth Coffman

The newly restored section soon after construction was completed.

Seth Coffman, Trout Unlimited Coordinator for the Shenandoah Headwaters Home Rivers Initiative, will be speaking at our next Monthly Member Meeting October 14th.

One of Seth’s local and recent efforts has helped restore and revitalized a public section of Mossy Creek. Some of you may recall the lack of vegetation in and around the creek and the higher banks that were susceptible to erosion. As the banks cave in more sediment fills the creek which can deter the growth of vegetation and aquatic insects. It also widens the creek causing a slow down of water which heats up faster. Come hear about this restoration, the program Seth runs and current or upcoming projects.

For more information about Seth, read his bio here.
