We’re lucky to have Jeff Keble addressing us at the next member meeting. His work with the Shenandoah Riverkeeper and now as President of the Potomac Riverkeeper includes monitoring and shedding light on the issues threatening one of our most important resources—our water.
Jeff stepped out of his fishing guide raft and into conservation work in 2005 when he started the Shenandoah Riverkeeper Program and become the Shenandoah Riverkeeper. Jeff officially joined Potomac Riverkeeper, Inc. in January 2006. Since July, 2014, Jeff now leads Potomac Riverkeeper, Inc. (home to Shenandoah Riverkeeper, Potomac Riverkeeper, and Upper Potomac Riverkeeper) as President. (Read more about Jeff…)
Recently, you may have heard of the fish kill that occurred on Blacks Run. Jeff will shed some light on that small but important incident at the meeting. We’ll also learn about the litigation Potomac Riverkeeper is bringing against the EPA over the algae problem on the Shenandoah River.
As is the case with all public resources, it’s up to us to step up and make our concerns heard.
Please read the PDF. Write a small letter and email it to Jeff. It will go a long way in helping protect what we all depend on.
